The Great Imperial Calendar was founded by Marius the Great, Emperor of Minthras, Bane of Dragons, the Vanquisher of Elves and the Protector of Men. Years are counted from the foundation of the Minthras Imperium, and are referred to as "Anno Imperii" (A.I.). Events before it are referred to as "Pre Imperium" (P.I.).

The current year is A.I. 66.

Calendar of the Old Continent[]

Most kingdoms of the Old Continent accepted the Great Imperial Calendar as their own, acknowledging the practicality of conforming to the most powerful country on the continent.

Certain regions, such as the Kingdom of Rubia and the Upper Free Cities, have been reluctant to submit in any way to the Imperium, against which they were very recently waging war. In these regions various other calendars are also in use; tradesmen and high-ranking businessmen, however, have been pushing for the adoption of the Great Imperial Calendar. As a result, official documents are frequently dated in both the local and the Imperial Calendar.
